Before planning the stops, take time to check your documents, motorcycle and riding gear. Knowing what is arranged helps you prepare for unfamiliar roads and riding conditions.
Check your documents before booking
The documents required depend on where your licence was issued and our partner’s terms. Check current official requirements and provide the requested details well before departure. An International Driving Permit accompanies your national licence; it does not replace it.
Consult the relevant authorities in your home country and confirm our partner’s requirements. Allow time for any application or translation rather than relying on last-minute arrangements.
Getting used to riding on the left
Traffic drives on the left. A pre-ride briefing covers the route and situations that need particular attention. Allow time to become familiar with the motorcycle; there is no single adjustment period that applies to every rider.
Choose a suitable route
Road surface, wind, visibility and your experience all matter when choosing the route. Gravel sections require a suitable motorcycle, permission under the rental terms and the necessary riding skills. Follow posted signs and ride according to conditions throughout the trip.
Plan the practical details
Confirm the equipment provided, insurance terms, any security deposit or excess and assistance arrangements. The itinerary also needs room for fuel, breaks and returning the motorcycle. These details are easier to settle before the day begins.
