About the tour
This tour offers an introduction to the Cape by motorcycle: the city, the ocean, then mountains and vineyards that feel a world away from the coast. The pace allows you to find your bearings gradually, returning to the comfort of Cape Town each evening. Riding is balanced with time to explore, and Mathis photographs moments from the journey.

Start and finish: Cape Town
- DAY 1
Getting to know Cape Town
· about 20 kmAfter collecting the motorcycle and completing the briefing, we set out to explore. Depending on your arrival time and the agreed programme, the route takes in Signal Hill, Bo-Kaap, the Waterfront and Sea Point’s seafront. A welcome dinner brings the first day to a close.

- DAY 2
Around the peninsula
· about 180 kmWe follow the peninsula route past Kirstenbosch without visiting the gardens, then continue to Muizenberg, Boulders Beach and Cape Point. The return takes us through Scarborough, Noordhoek and Chapman’s Peak to Cape Town, with time for visits on foot and photo stops.

A final ride through the Winelands
· 105 to 170 km depending on the routeWe head for Stellenbosch or Franschhoek, following the agreed route through the vineyards. There is time for a final stop in the region before returning to Cape Town and handing back the motorcycle. The return time is arranged around your onward plans.
