About the tour
Mathis designed this day to show both sides of the peninsula: the calm water and seaside villages of False Bay on one side, the Atlantic and its mountainside roads on the other. There is regular time off the bike to walk, look around and breathe the sea air, while still leaving plenty of room simply to enjoy the ride. Mathis photographs the scenery and the moments you share.
Your itinerary
Start and finish: Cape Town
- MORNING
From Signal Hill to Boulders
We leave the city via Signal Hill and cross the peninsula to False Bay. At Boulders Beach, boardwalks lead to viewpoints overlooking the penguin colony.
- MIDDAY
Cape Point
After lunch, we enter the Cape Point reserve and slow the pace, with time for viewpoints, a walk and photographs at the tip of the peninsula.
- AFTERNOON
Chapman’s Peak
We join the Atlantic coast for Chapman’s Peak, the road that hangs above the ocean, then Camps Bay. The day ends with the return to central Cape Town.
