About the tour
A journey linking the interior to the coast. In the Klein Karoo, the landscape opens into broad valleys and dry mountain country dotted with small towns; beyond the mountains, the Garden Route brings a different setting of lagoons, greener slopes and rugged coastline. Six days of riding form part of a nine-day trip, with visits and overnight stops that allow time to discover more than the roads alone. Each day follows on naturally from the last.

Start and finish: Cape Town
- DAY 1
An introduction to Cape Town
We begin exploring by minibus, visiting neighbourhoods such as Bo-Kaap, Green Point and the Waterfront according to your arrival time. A welcome dinner is a chance to meet and talk through the journey ahead. Overnight in Cape Town.

Exploring the peninsula
We continue by minibus, with Boulders Beach and the Cape of Good Hope on the programme. A visit to Table Mountain depends on the weather, cableway operation and available time; the order of the day is adjusted accordingly. Overnight in Cape Town.

Cape Town to Montagu
· about 245 kmAfter collecting the motorcycles and completing the briefing, we visit Franschhoek before continuing through Paarl, Worcester and Robertson to Montagu. From vineyard valleys to the drier landscapes inland, this first day on the bikes introduces the changing scenery ahead. Overnight in Montagu.

Route 62 to Oudtshoorn
· about 240 kmWe follow Route 62 through Barrydale, Ladismith and Calitzdorp. The mountains of the Klein Karoo frame a landscape of small towns and wide-open country. Today is about enjoying the journey, with time for lunch, exploring the stops and taking photographs. Overnight in Oudtshoorn.

Over the mountains to Knysna
· about 180 kmWe begin with a visit to the Cango Caves, then ride towards Outeniqua Pass and the coast. After the inland landscapes, the greener Garden Route and the views around Wilderness bring a change of scenery. We continue to Knysna for the night, with a possible visit to the Heads if time allows.

Towards Mossel Bay, via Botlierskop
· about 125 kmWe ride towards Mossel Bay, with a visit to Botlierskop planned along the way to discover another side of the region. The arrangements and duration are confirmed before the trip; wildlife sightings depend on the animals encountered that day. Overnight in Mossel Bay.

Through Swellendam to Hermanus
· about 310 kmWe head towards Swellendam, where a stop breaks up this travelling day. The route crosses inland country before returning to the coast at Hermanus. Time beside the sea offers a change of pace after the day’s ride. Overnight in Hermanus.

Clarence Drive and Cape Town
· about 145 kmOur final day on the motorcycles follows False Bay along Clarence Drive. Viewpoints across the bay provide a few last opportunities to stop before we return to Cape Town. A farewell dinner is a chance to look back on the journey together. Overnight in Cape Town.
